Exploratoria Art Exhibit Opens at Sky Gallery

Dec 23 2020

The Springfield-Branson National Airport is proud to continue our partnership with the Springfield Regional Arts Council (SRAC) to bring local art to travelers passing through the airport. The current show, “Exploratoria”, encourages passengers and our essential workers to consider the expanses of their imaginations and the myriad skies, landscapes, and people they can conjure.

“Exploratoria” features 13 artists and includes work in acrylic, ink, mixed-media, and even metal sculpture. Artists in this exhibit include SRAC member artists Adam Wolken, Avery Parrish, Betty Parnell, Carol Snyder, Dee Giles, Doug Erb, Josh Mitchell, Ken Richardson, Laura Ingalsbe, Meg Wagler, Meike Aton, Nancy Day, and Susie Sharpe.

The show will run from December 18th, 2020 through February 19th, 2021. A selection of the work on display can be accessed online at www.flyspringfield.com/arts.

The Sky Gallery works in conjunction with the SRAC to provide rotating exhibits that include SRAC artist members, students and faculty of local colleges, universities, and public schools, and occasionally national organizations and special interest groups. Artists interested in exhibiting their work at The Sky Gallery should contact Rachel Johnson at 417-862-2787 or at [email protected].
